John Frederick's Story
My Father served in the North or South Staffordshire Regiment. I don't know a lot about his time there but I do know that he was gassed twice. He survived the war but suffered the effects of the gas for the rest of his life, it was a possible cause of his death in 1963 aged 64, just before his retirement.
