Rueben's Story
Reuben Whitehead died age 22 on the 16 October 1914. He was my Great Uncle. He lived at Lashes Cottages, Crockenhill, Kent. He is remembered with honour and is buried at Les Gonards Cemetery, Versailles.
I haven't any photos of him all I know is that he was one of four brothers. I have found details of one of his brothers who died also in the Great War in 3 May 1917 at Arras (Corporal Thomas Whitehead of the Queen's Royal West Surrey Regiment). Their mother was Mrs Etty Whitehead, my great grandmother.
