Robert's Story
Robert joined the 14th Welch Regiment on 15th January 1915 and he served in France. Much loved husband of Florence and a devoted father to William and Bernard. After being taken ill with Typhoid Fever Robert was transferred to the Royal Flying Corps in 1916. We have been unable to find his war records and would dearly love to locate them.
Robert came home after the end of WW1 to look after his family during WW2 when he was a Fire Watcher in the heavy bombing of Swansea. Robert worked for 52 years at Baldwins Kings docks, Swansea only ever missing 2 shifts of work during that time. Much loved and remembered.
