William's Story

My Great-Uncle who ran away to join up before he was old enough, he and his brother together, they were found out and sent back to Ireland, but they ran away again, the second time they were not found out (or a blind eye was turned) and went to war. He was killed in France on 7th July 1916, his name is on the Thiepval Monument. May he rest in peace.
