Herbert Frederick's Story

He had a face like an angel

I write this for my grandmother who lost the brother she loved the most on 10 September 1916 when he was killed at Delville Wood, Somme. He served with the King's Own Liverpool Scottish from the time it was a territorial force, through its service in the Great War, to his death. He is buried at The Guards Cemetery, Les Boufs, Somme and will always be remembered with the deepest love.
