Richard's Story

After leaving his reserved occupation at Woolwich Arsenal with difficulty, he attended officer training school at Winchester and was sent with his Brigade to the Western Front arriving on 1 July 1917-end 1918, as Field Observation Officer. The Brigade was sent to various different places as was needed including Passchendaele and Vimy Ridge.
