Horace's Story

Horace was my grandmother`s brother. He joined the Royal Navy in 1910 at HMS Ganges Suffolk. During the war he transferred into the submarine service and was based in Revel [what is now the capital of Estonia, Tallin]. Whilst serving on submarine E18 in the Baltic as part of the 8th Flotilla attached to the Russian Navy his submarine went missing. Horace never returned home. He was awarded the Russian Cross of St George.

I`ve spent the last five years researching his story. He is still truly loved.
