Isaiah's Story
I have no memories of my Grandfather as he died long before I was born. He was born in 1878 in Wigan Lancashire.
My Granddad
My Grandmother was widowed for the second time and had to bring up her three children, the youngest of them being my father William Joseph, on her own.
I have a letter send by him to her where he describes one of the worst things at the time was "the dammed sand, it gets everywhere" and that he missed his family very much, sent his love to them and hope to see them when possible.
