Harry's Story

Son of George and Esther Holt. My Father's young brother. Harry was only 16 years old when he volunteered. He was sent to France and killed on 27th July 1916. I remember my father took me to the Armistice Day Parade in Catford every year and not till I was older did I realise his thoughts must have been for his little brother who he lost when he was so young.
