Richard's Story
He was disabled in the Battle of the Somme, losing his left leg under the knee. He was honourably discharged on the 26th of December 1917. He died aged 83 in 1967 but was affected by his injuries and battle memories for the rest of his life. Lest we forget.
He was a great man and brought up five children, many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is well remembered by all. His memory will never fade.
