James's Story

A Grandfather I never knew gave his life with his two brothers WW1

Taking my mother to Thiepval in 1966, where her father is listed along with the rest of the missing of the Somme battles. She never had the chance to know her father or uncles.

I know of my two uncles in the 1st world war their names were James Moorby and Stephen Moorby and they were from Cark and Carmel near Grange over Sands but as far as a I know they were killed in Galipolli.
