Herbert's Story
"your sacrifice will always be remembered"
Until about 5 years ago all I knew about my Grandad he was killed towards the end of WW1. I have since discovered he was killed in Flanders on 28 September 1918, his remains were never found. One of the proudest moments for was visiting the site of his death (near Warsaw Crater) in Belgium and paying my respects at his remembrance plaque in Tyne Cot Cemetery. God bless you Grandad, your sacrifice will always be remembered.
