Joseph Edward's Story

my great grand father was wounded in face and left arm by an aeroplane bomb his face was peppered with powder marks leaving him blinded he went to st dunstans where he learnt netting, mat and rug making. i never met him but ive got one photo of him i don,t even know where his unit served it dosen t say on his medal card but he was the lucky one to return home . i feel proud of him and also sad of the other s who didnt return home
