william's Story

william was my great uncle

often talked about when i was a child,my eldest son and i visited his grave in cambrai east military cemetery in october 2008,he served from 1914 and was sadly wounded and died in the last week of the war,he died on the same day as wilfred owen, and i imagine his parents would hear of his death as the bells tolled to declare the end of the war,as did wifred's.
