Francis's Story

He was the eldest of 5 children, two sons, three daughters. He was killed on the 18th of December 1915, and his brother James Murphy died of wounds on the 19th December 1915. The are buried 7 km apart, at St Vaarst, and Merville communal cemetery in France. We have no memories of him, as my Father was born on the 26th January 1916, after he died.
