Samuel's Story
Samuel was my great grandfather but he never had the chance to get to know his daughter, let alone his grandaughter or me. As a child I was always told that when they released the poppies at the Festival of Remembrance one of them was for him, I liked that idea and still do, it feels like as long as they still do it he won't be forgotten.
