Edgar's Story
I have no memory of my great uncle, he was 18, killed in 1918 in northern france, just one of the countless thousands of soldiers killed during WW1. He was a Lewis gunner in the lincolnshire regiment.
Pvt Edgar Ramskill
All i can remember is my grandfather had his war penny and a letter, but no-one mentioned him, to me he was a valiant man for giving his life.
A few years ago i visited his memorial cemetary in northern France, It was immaculately kept by the french community, a very peaceful place, i hope he is at peace there after such a sacrifice.
I wanted to share this with you all.
