Norris's Story

My grandfather on my mothers side, Norris Fitzgerald, as far as I can find, joined the Royal Lancashire Regiment in early 1915 but was discharged with poor eyesight. However, it appears he joined the Machine Gun Corps of the Cameron Highlanders later in the year and took part in the battle of the Somme.

I remember him and I understand he remained deeply affected by his experience.
