David James's Story
I never knew my grandfather on my late mother's side of family, David James Trembath at all. He died in 1943 after surviving the first world war, he came home with the three medals he was awarded, I was born in 1946. I was never told anything about him at all by my parents, Davids wife was called Alice Maud Rickard/Trembath. David james trembath was wounded, his regiment was the Duke of Cornwall Light Infantry, reg no: 8900, but then he transfered to the Devonshires reg no: 22885 & 267334.
