Other memories
On 27 October 1915, the Division, having been moved by train to Marseilles, began to embark for Salonika. It completed concentration there in November, althoug the final artillery units were still coming in as late as 13 December 1915. It remained in the theatre for the rest of the war, taking part in the following operations:
8-13 December 1915: the Retreat from Serbia (Advanced Divisional HQ, 6th Brigade, 9th Border and 68th Field Ambulance only)
10-18 August 1916: the battle of Horseshoe Hill
13-14 September 1916: the battle of Machukovo
24-25 April and 8-9 May 1917: the battle of Doiran
18-19 September 1918: the battle of Doiran

9th (Service) Battalion:
Formed at Warrington in September 1914 as part of K3 and moved to Seaford, attached to 66th Brigade, 22nd Division. Moved to billets in Eastbourne in December 1914. Moved back to March 1915 and on to Bourley (Aldershot) in May. Landed in France on 7 September 1915 but sailed from Marseilles 29 October, landing at Salonika 5 November 1915.
