Walker's Story
he recognised his wife and asked after his two children before he passed away.
Walker Parker, my grandmother's brother, enlisted in Keighley in June 1917 and went to France in October. on the 5th may 1918 his wife recieved a telegram to say he had been wounded in action and was in the 3rd canadian hospital in boulogne. the next day another telegram arrived saying he was dangerously ill and could be visited. his wife made the journey to france and arrived 24 hours before he died on the 9th may, she stayed on for his funeral and burial in boulogne eastern cemetery.
