Robert's Story
My Grandad Robert Sketchley was attested on the 6th June 1916 and was called up on the 10th August l916. We do not have much information on his war record except that he served in Mesopotamia. He was discharged on 13th April 1920.
His premature death in 1929 left a widow and three very young children. It was sad for me not to know him and would love to know about his war experience, photos taken during his time in Mesopotamia are a family treasure which keeps his memory alive, he will never be forgotton.
