Frederick Clarence Lance: army lance-serjeant; Territorial Force 2nd/1st Bucks Battalion - Oxford & Bucks Light Infantry; service no. 265854. Born 28 Nov 1897, Shoreditch, London. Unmarried. Died 19 Jul 1916; killed in action [presumed missing until May 1917], aged 18; memorial name inscription at the Loos Memorial [panel 83-85], Dud Corner Cemetery, Loos-en-Gohelle, nw of Lens, sw of Lille.
