Ernist Edmund's Story
Was born in Plymouth on the 19/12/1881 and joined the navy as a boy at the age of 16.his service record show. He was on HMS Ocean then HMS Carnarvon. HMS Impregnable. HMS Gloucester HMS Theseus.before joining HMS Indefatigable 2nd battlecruiser squadron in 1915 and died at the battle of Jutland 31/05/1916.
He was married to Charlotte Figg also of Plymouth on the 15/01/1910. His only daughter, my mum, Florence Harvey ( na ..Stentiford) is 97 years old and still lives in Plymouth Devon...this is the only photo that remains of my granddad. As a young man. I am now researching the family history.
