John's Story
Died Kut al Arara, 20th June 1916
One of my Nan's brothers joined the Royal West Kent regiment and was shipped to India, then on to Mesopotamia. I think he was one of those captured by the Turks at Kut-al Amara and died in captivity. His name is on the memorial in Basra.
