Edmund Charles Parrish's Story

Pvte 4148 ECP Hows d. Basra, Mesopotamia 28/07/1916 from effects of heat.

After serving in South Africa and gaining the QSA medal with Transvaal and Orange Free State clasps. Edmund Charles Parrish Hows, my Great Grandfather, died from the effects of heat as did many in Mesopotamia, due to being ill equpped for the theatre of war. This front is very much forgotten from The Great War.
