Burgoyne's Story

Was my great uncle. I obviously never knew him, but have visited his grave in Borre, Hazebrouck.

He was in the 1st Battalion Lancashire Fusiliers and died on Monday 12th August, 1918, when he was 24 years old, and was killed by shellfire along with four other men in the line at Strazeele.
