Herbert's Story

Voluntered 3rd /9th Batt Manchester Reg. Transfered Machine Gun Corps. Promoted Sgt. Wounded on 2 occasions. Transfered to Chines Labour Corps. Presented with mounted cricket ball by officers of London Scottish for his bowling in the match against the French

Died 20th Feb. 1934 in Prestwich Mental Hospital. Postromatic stress had not been heard of!
