Thomas's Story
My grandfather spent most of his war in the Ypres Salient. This had a profound effect on him as he saw the utter devistation, not only of the town of Ypres but also the many cassualties of that area. I ended up in the Royal Air Force Regiment, and it was only after joining up that I realised that he had been suffering from post traumatic stress since 1919!!
