Basil's Story

Basil was killed on 23 July 1916 during the attack on Poziers at 2.30 in the morning. He recieve a head injury from a shell and said to his men "You go ahead, I will catch up with you soon". He was found 2 days later and was buried in a grave marked with a cross, later reburied at Poziers cemetery.
