Ralph's Story

ralph was the youngest of 6 children, a butcher by trade,. living with his widowed mother. At 44 Hartburn Terrace Seaton Delavel. Northumberland. joined up 13/10/1916. transferred 10/8/1917. Sailed from southhampton, to le Harve France. Joined his battallion on 21/8/1917. killed in action at Passhendaele, 12/october 1917. Missing. Aged 24. Memorial at tyne Cot panel 10. He was awarded the British medal and the victory Medal, which his mother Mary Halton signed for January 1918.
