James's Story

James was my grandad I never saw him he died in France

My memory is of sitting at my Nanna's paino as a child looking up at his picture on the wall in uniform and being told what a brave man he was, as he was a Lance Corporal and was carrying a man on a stretcher when he was blown up. My Father looked just like him so I used to think he must be as brave as my Grandad.
