Angus's Story

Joined the Black Watch (19th Battalion Scottish Horse) in Perth, October 1918, fought through the final battles of the great war. Believed he died of wounds aged 19 sustained by treading on a mine, not sure if this was before or after armistice. Buried in Busigny communial cemetery which I visited a few years ago near Cambrai.

My Great Uncle Angus Macdonald died 18/11/18

My Great Grandparents did not find out about his death until nearly December 1918. It was said that my great grandfather, a farmer never recovered from his death.
