Gordon's Story
I have copy of regimental diary which very simply states.
Lest we forget
1915 August 18th 1209 Pte Crick killed in Flanders.
Gordon was in TA before outbreack of war 1/7th Battalion.
He has no known grave, his name is commemorated by name on panel 20 of Ypres (Menim Gate)
Gordon was a twin his sister Margaret my great Aunt lost not only her twin but her fiancee, she died in 1978 and never married. As with that generation most families were affected but didn't talk about their loss.
A far as I am aware nobody in the family has been to menim Gate but I hope to get there some day to pay respects to a man who I never knew but feel his loss should not go unrecognised
