Arthur's Story

L/Cpl Arthur Illingworth

My Uncle Arthur - Prince of Wales West Yorkshire Regiment was injured at the Somme on 1st July 1916. Repatriated to the UK, he returned to Active Service in 1917. He died of wounds received on the 27 th June 1918, aged 25, in fighting at Bethune Northern France andc is buried in the Communal Cemetery, at Marzingabe with other British Servicemen.
