Frederick's Story
Whilest he was a Lance Corporal with the Cyclist Corps he was mentioned in a Despatch from Field Marshall Sir John D P French dated 30th November 1915, for gallant and distinguished services in the Field. I have yet to research exactly what he did. He also has a 'Medaille Militaire'
My Grandfather reached the rank of Corporal with the Royal Fusiliers and the Army Cyclist Corps
from 'Le Grande Chancelier de L'Ordre National de la Legion d'honneur a delivre' dated 2nd July 1917. He was honourably discharged on the 21st May 1919
