Augustine's Story

33733 Pte Augustine Bergan, 2Bn Alexandra Princess of Wales's Own Yorkshire Regiment

Remembering: 33733 Pte Augustine Bergan, 2nd Bn Yorkshire Regt, son of Mrs C. Bergan, 10 Snowden St, Bradford. On the 24th October 1917, Augustine was in an advanced post in the left sub sector of the Lindenhoek - Kemmel trenches when it was raided by the enemy, and he was killed, aged 20 years. He is burried in Derry House Cemetery No2, Nr Wytschaete, Belgium. Rest in Peace, you and your comrades will never be forgotten.
