Sidney Boyens's Story

Sapper 48532 Sidney George Boyens 89th Field Co. Royal Engineers

Sapper Boyens was drowned on 3rd August 1916 during the Battle of the Somme and is remembered with honour on the Doullens Communal Cementery Extension No.1. He was my second cousin and I have a copy of the letter written by his mother requesting (with respect) that his back pay be forwarded to her.
