Frederick Henry Daniel's Story

Fred was born in Islington, the son of Mr and Mrs F Kees of Upper Holloway, London. He had 4 brothers, 3 of whom also fought in The Great War. He was married to Florence and worked as a postman.

He was a private in the army serving with the London Regiment. He died on 25 July 1918, aged 33, and is buried in Contay British Cemetery, in the department of the Somme, France.
