William's Story

"D" Company, 1st Battalion Queen's Own (Royal West Kent Regiment)

William was the son of Thomas and Eliza Sawford of 8 Foxmore Street, Battersea, London. His service no. was 4987. He died on 22 July 1916 and is buried at the Caterpillar Valley Cemetery, Longueval.
