William's Story

Killed in action 7th January 1916, Gallipoli, Turkey - Last Turk Attack Gully Ravine

Private William Rushton 10220 7th Battalion North Staffordshire Regiment

William was the husband of Rachel Rushton and the son of Charles and Mary Elizabeth Rushton of Kidsgrove, Staffordshire.

He has no known grave but is remembered with honour on the Helles Memorial, Turkey and on the war memorial inside St. Thomas' Church, Kidsgrove, Staffordshire.
