Philip's Story
Philip Hennelly was born in Oldham and was single when he joined the Manchester Regiment. He was Killed in Action on the
6th July 1917, aged 28 yrs. He was buried in Grave 1.b.2. Ecoust Cemetery, Ecoust-St Mein, France.
His younger brother Peter, served with the Royal Marines Light Infantry in France during the same war, and survived.
