John's Story
Died the day before Armistice Day
Sustained chest wounds at the battle of the somme. Taken to hospital in craiglockhart, edinburgh. My great great grandfather Colour Sargeant John Campbell travelled from Kinlochleven to bring his son home to die surrounded by his family. John died 10th November 1918 at the age of 21.
