Harold's Story

No-51847 Pte. Harold Richardson. Born in Bingley and resided in Bingley. Enlisted in Keighley, in August 1917.

Initially the West Riding Regiment was transferred into King's own Yorkshire Light Infantry. Harold had only been in the fighting line for 4 months when he was initially reported as missing. Officially killed in action on 4/6/1918, only 20 years old.

God bless the Bingley men of 1914-1918 who made the the supreme sacrifice.
