Reuben's Story

Bombadier with the 24th Heavy Trench Mortar Battery, RGA service no. 211343. Formerly he was a Gunner with the RFA, service no. 65058.

He went to the Western Front on 1 Sept 1915 and was discharged on 7 March 1919.

Reuben was my Grandfather. He had two brothers who also fought in WW1, William, who was in the 2nd Devonshire Regiment, died and Alfred, who was in the RFA, survived. They were the sons of William and Frances Daniel of Hall Cottage, Goldworthy, Alwington, Devon.
