Joseph's Story

Uncle Joseph joined the army in 1914 and served as a medic on the Somme. He was promoted through the ranks to 2nd Lt. Connaught Rangers attatched to the Royal Munsters.

He lost his life on October 1918 aged 25 and is buried at the British cemetery 16k east of Perone on the road to Hargicourt, where he is remembered with honour.
