Bright's Story
My Grandfather joined the Grenadier Guards at a early age and worked hard a reached the rank of WO2 and found he could not progress any further so he transfered to the Royal Fusiliers and again worked his way through the ranks. He served in the boer War and in the Russian Campaign also in the first World war and obtained a Field Comission and on his retire ment retired at the rank of a Captain in the Royal Scots Greys
He was mentioned in Dispatches in the First World War and also had Medals Queens South African and the King's South African Medals.
