George's Story

I was named after him my late father did not remember him my father joined the army in Christmas eve 1927 that tells me a lot about his family life.

Through in the depression this would have been seen as a way of getting an education. He became a civil serveant, when he joined the army he could not read or write. Today there is still people like him we have not moved on.

Only the dead know the true meaning of war
