Walter's Story

Waletr Thompson was killed in action on 16 Sept 1914

I recall vividly the first time I visited his grave at Vailly sur Aisne. I found it with assistance of the CWGC and cherish the memory of my mother's one and only visit. (She was orphaned in early 1915).

My maternal grandfather, whom I never met but of whom I am extraordinarily proud.
