Hugh's Story
Hugh Quinlan is buried at Mikra British Cemetery Kalamaria Greece- his name is recorded in All Saints Church of Ireland Clooney Parish 1914-1918 Roll of Honour and is listed on the Diamond War Memorial also.
He was 41 when he died, he was married with children and lived in Ebrington Street, Londonderry.
he was a reservist and meber of Ebrington Presbyterian Church. He rose to the rank of Sergeant and had fought throughout the Boer War. He went out to Almonika six months before his death from wounds in september 1916 on the 14th of September.
